Impero Italiano Wine Club Membership

Impero Italiano Wine Club offers exclusive opportunities for our members to taste our rich range of wines. Members receive 4 allocations per year in March, May, September, and November. Choose to have your wine shipped directly to your door or join us at our Wine Club pickup events. Shipments require a signature from someone 21 years of age or older. Please note that shipping costs are not included.

Aglianico Beneventano IGP

Aglianico “alli-yawn-nico” is a full-bodied red wine which is found almost exclusively in Southern Italy in the regions of Campania. The most notable thing about Aglianico is its pronounced savory notes. Expect to get hints of cured and smoked meats, game, and pepper, along with sweeter notes such as black cherry, plums, and tart berries. To match the robust savory notes, the wine is full-bodied with a high amount of tannins.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG

Amarone is a rich, expressive red wine from the Veneto region of northeastern Italy. Its full name is Amarone della Valpolicella, and it’s produced from a blend of grapes including Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and (less commonly these days) Molinara.

Merlot

Merlot is a red wine that is produced from the grape variety of the same name. Stylistically, it runs the gamut from fruit-forward and sweet with oak to more structured and nuanced, capable of aging for decades.

Asti Spumanti

(also known as Asti spumante) is a sparkling white Italian wine that is produced throughout southeastern Piedmont, in the town of Asti. Since 1993 the wine has been classified as a denominazione di origine controllata e garantita (DOCG) and as of 2004 was Italy’s largest producing appellation.

Made from the Moscato Bianco grape, it is sweet and low in alcohol, and often served with dessert. Unlike Champagne, Asti is not made sparkling using secondary fermentation in the bottle, but rather through a single tank fermentation utilizing the Charmat method. It retains its sweetness through a complex filtration process.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine. It tops the list of robust red varietals, carrying some of the lushest, thickest sips that will coat most of the mouth and linger. Many describe cabernet sauvignon’s body as unctuous, gravelly, rich and deep.

Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a white grape variety from the Veneto region with notes of tangerine, melon, and peach It has an almost preternatural ability to both express the land in which it’s grown and showcase our style of the winemaker Cantina Rossi which is velvety and generous.

Falanghina Benevento

A stunning White Wine derived from the Falanghina grape, harvested in September. It has a straw yellow color extremely fruity and floral aromas with hints of Acacia The flavor is dry apricots and candies citrus, harmonious and fresh. This wine goes well with fish, pasta, white meats and grilled vegetables.

Sicilia Grillo DOC

This super refreshing, zippy white from the island of Sicily. Packed with bright citrus, tropical fruit, and tons of minerality, this is a perfect everyday white. Pairs well with crudites, white fish and also with salads and luncheon sandwiches. A light bodied texture gives way to ample acidity that makes this Grillo wine excellent with warm weather food dishes. This is a smooth and thoughtful white that fills a glass with refreshing flavors.

Terre Siciliane Bianco IGT

Produced from selected Sicilian grapes, Bianco Terre Siciliane IGT is a fresh and inviting wine. Characterized by intense Mediterranean fragrances, it has a good structure and inebriating aromatic touches. Luminous yellow in appearance, with golden lights. Wide olfactory profile: hints ranging from fruit (peach and apricot) to citrus flowers and evoking mint and sage at the same time. Full flavour, enveloping and balanced; a fresh acidity in the finish gives an extra touch, a prelude to an accentuated persistence that recalls delicate hints of aromatic herbs.

Vinified in accordance with tradition, this wine convinces with its cleanliness and balance. The Terre Siciliane Impero Italiano line is enriched with a new, refined protagonist.

Monte Pulciano d’Abruzzo DOC

This intense Italian wine with floral and spice notes can be the perfect wine for any occasion. An exhilarating bouquet of ripe cherry mingles with dried red roses and spice notes. The palate shows juicy length which develops with a toasted oak finish.  It is a type of grape that grows in East-Central Italy and is the second most planted red grape after Sangiovese. It is predominantly grown in the Abruzzo region, where it has been around since the 18th century. This region lies between the Apennine mountains and the Adriatic sea coast.

 

The Montepulciano grows in the Apennine foothills, where the climate is warm with plenty of sunlight – perfect conditions for the vines to produce ripe and plump grapes.

Nero d’Avola DOC

Nero d’Avola, meaning “black of Avola,” is Sicily’s top red wine grape. It is “the most important red wine. It is named after Avola in the far south East coast of Sicily. The color is ruby red, typically winy, fruity, strongly reminiscent of blackberries. With a noble dry flavor, slightly acidic, rounded, warm and full-bodied. 

Chianti Classico

Chianti Classico is a dry, red wine made only in a specific part of Tuscany in central Italy within the historical Chianti district. Therefore, this very historical prestige of a “terroir” contributes to the product value. The Chianti Classico DOCG is among the most coveted wines of the world. It is characterized in their youth by their predominantly floral and cinnamon spicy bouquet. As the wine ages, aromas of tobacco and leather can emerge.
